Tattoos are the result of pigments that were inserted into the skin and stay there. After these pigments are inserted into the skin they form various shaped constructions of pigment molecules too large to pass through cell membranes and they actually stay trapped inside the skin for many years. At Hadar's glow we use the GEM Intense Pulse Light to break down the pigments (colors) of your tattoo and throw them into the blood wash, causing your tattoo to fade away.
The GEM-IPL has been used successfully for over 15 years for tattoo fading. The risk of scarring is less than 2%.

How Does It Work?
The energy of the GEM-IPL is absorbed in the pigments of the tattoo, shakes the connections between the pigment molecules and gradually breaks the big constructions into small ones. Now the molecules are small enough to pass through the cell and dissolves in the blood stream. Thus, after several treatments, the tattoo fades away.
The darker the tattoo, the more energy it will absorb and the faster it will fade away. Dark tattoos will absorb more energy than the skin which is next to it. This difference allows us to give energy at a level that will shake the tattoo, but not the skin around it.
Treatment Procedure:
During the treatment, you will be asked to put on protective eyewear. A layer of chilled gel is applied to the area to cool the skin and allow the light to more easily penetrate the skin surface. The machine handle is placed against the skin and a short pulse of light is released. The handle is moved to the neighboring area until the entire area has been treated.
Depending on the color of the tattoo and the type of ink used, this treatment should be performed anywhere from one to four weeks apart and repeated at least five to eight times.
Expected Results:
With every treatment you will notice the fade of color and lightening of your tattoo. Immediately after treatment, the area turns pale in color and swells very slightly. The swelling and discoloration fades very quickly and blistering or scab formation may occur. Skin tones return to normal in five to seven days. A burn cream is necessary to apply for seven days after treatment. Make-up can be worn within seven days and sunscreen is recommended for six weeks following treatment.
