How Does It Work?
The GEM-IPL energy inserted into cells proliferates and stimulates collagen production and induces collagen and elastic tissue synthesis. It uses a specific dose, intensity and wavelengths that enable it to stimulate the cells to produce more collagen. As the new collagen forms, thus rejuvenates your skin.
Treatment Procedure:
You will receive a series of 30-minute facial, skin rejuvenation treatments. During the treatment, you will be asked to put on protective eyewear, a layer of chilled gel is applied to the area to cool the skin and allow the light to more easily penetrate the skin's surface. The machine’s handle is placed against the skin and a short pulse of light is released. The handle is moved to the neighboring area until the entire area has been treated.
Most clients describe the sensation of the light pulses as a small, relatively painless snap. No anesthesia is required. As well, most clients can immediately return to their routine activities.
Depending on the degree of damage, a series of five to seven sessions at four to five-week intervals is usually required to achieve optimal results.
